Due to growth and continued success, we require an Engineering Manager for our Roadwork's division, to assist with expanding and driving the success of the NSW Branch. As part of the project leadership team, you will be involved in finding constructability solutions to construction projects and designs. As Engineering Manager on one of our major projects, your role will include:

Planning and Budgeting

• setting the strategic direction for the function in line with the project strategy,
• developing of schedules to ensure resources are appropriate and used effectively and efficiently; and
• managing the budget of the function by overseeing expenditure, conducting quarterly reviews against plan and budget and taking corrective actions as required.

Client Focus

• creating and maintaining strong relationships with key senior external clients and other key stakeholders; and
• clarifying key stakeholder needs and allocating resources to ensure the delivery of effective outcomes.

Technical Excellence

• identifying, assessing and managing business risks
• ensuring existing management systems and processes are aligned with Leighton Contractors.
• Ensure the Project complies with regulatory and governance requirements by keeping abreast of governance and regulatory obligations, taking appropriate actions and supporting the implementation of preventive strategies.
• ensuring identified third party relationships are formalised in accordance with agreed tender strategy;
• leading the handover of the tender strategy to ensure its detail is fully imparted and understood by the project team including all AS9001, Environment & SHE aspects;
• contributing to senior management on the "front end" factors of tender bids to increase the chances of success including unique inputs on major projects; and
• coordinating the development and maintenance of the tender bid process.

To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience in managing the design of a $100M plus road works contract, preferably with RTA  experience, within a recognised Contractor. Adept at delivering bespoke solutions, you will understand the intricacies and complexities of the design and methodology of multi million dollar infrastructure projects.
