Diesel Fitting Apprenticeships – 2011
Leighton Mining is part of Leighton Contractors' Resources Division - Australia's premier contract miner and services provider, with over 20 mine sites, a workforce of more than 4,500 people and the largest fleet of mining equipment and plant in Australia. Our annual intake of Diesel Fitting Apprentices is on again for 2011. The four year apprenticeship will be split between periods at our Plant Workshop in Brisbane (Darra), our mining projects throughout Central Queensland and New South Wales, and attendance at TAFE. To successfully gain one of our apprentice positions you must be over 17 years of age and have completed grade 12. We are also looking for people who can demonstrate:
As you will be based in Brisbane during your first year of the apprenticeship you must be able to accommodate yourself during this period. While based on the projects in Central QLD and NSW you will be provided with camp accommodation.
