Diesel Fitters - Bowen Basin Operations

Leighton Mining is currently seeking applications for Experienced Diesel Fitters for positions at our Operations located approximately 2 - 2.5 hours West of Mackay.  Enjoy a alternating day & night shift roster of either 4/4 or 4/2/4/6, Meals and Camp accommodation and a bus to and from Mackay at the start and end of each roster.

You will also be supplied meals & accommodation in a camp close to the mine. Remuneration is annualised and paid weekly in accordance with the Leighton Workplace Agreement.

The Role

Use your diagnostic skills and expertise gained through your qualifications and experience to fix and maintain our large fleet of mining equipment. Caterpillar, O&K, Liebherr, Komatsu and Hitachi experience will be highly advantageous.

To be successful you will be a reliable team player with a pro-active approach towards safety, a positive attitude and exceptional work ethic.

You'll work as part of a team to meet our maintenance targets and with the support of an experienced plant department & workshop facilities you will be equipped to succeed. You'll supply your own basic tools & we'll supply the rest. 

This role will offer variety, both in the site workshop and in the field.
