Diesel Fitters - Peak Downs Project

Exciting opportunities exist for Diesel Fitters to join one of our Queensland Open Cut Coal Mining Projects - Peak Downs.

The Peak Downs Project is located approximately 2.5 hours from Mackay, Queensland. As the successful candidates you will enjoy an attractive roster of 4-nights on, 2-off days off, 4-days on, 6-days off.

Transport will provided between camp and site each day and from camp to Mackay at the start and end of each stint. (Buses will operate on the 2 days off).

You will also be supplied meals & accommodation in a camp close to the mine. Remuneration is annualised and paid weekly in accordance with the Leighton Peak Downs Workplace Agreement.

The Role

Use your diagnostic skills and expertise gained through your qualifications and experience to fix and maintain our large fleet of mining equipment. Caterpillar, O&K and Hitachi experience will be highly advantageous.

To be successful you will be a reliable team player with a pro-active approach towards safety, a positive attitude and exceptional work ethic.

You'll work as part of a team to meet our maintenance targets and with the support of an experienced plant department & workshop facilities you will be equipped to succeed. You'll supply your own basic tools & we'll supply the rest. 

This role will offer variety, both in the site workshop and in the field.
